Runcorn bring in new goalkeeper

Runcorn Linnets have signed goalkeeper Craig Ellison from Congleton Town as replacement for Michael Emery.

Ellison, 33, has experience in non-league and took up coaching in 2009, founding Reflect GK Academy.

He has played for Witton Albion, FC Halifax Town, Garforth Town, Curzon Ashton amongst others, and has also played in Brazil and USA.

"6ft 4in Craig, 33, is a vastly-experienced 'keeper, who has carved out a successful career - combining playing in non-league with high-level coaching and scouting roles," the club announced.

"At the same time, we thank Danny Taberner who has answered an SOS to take the No.1 shirt for today's game against Ossett United."

Emery left the club due to 'personal circumstances'.
