Sam Bennett joins Wisbech Town

Wisbech Town have announced the signing of Sam Bennett from Soham Town Rangers.

Manager Brett Whaley said: "I’m delighted to get Sam on board. We’ve been wanting to bring a forward in that can stretch sides with their pace and Sam can definitely do that.

"Whenever I’ve come up against him I’ve been really impressed with his movement and he’s always been a real threat, and I think he’ll really compliment the forwards we already have at the club."

On the move, Bennett said: "Just want to say that I am delighted to have signed for Wisbech Town.

"I feel this is a great club for me being a local lad and I am very excited to meet up with the staff and players and really kick on this season.

"I want to be able to make plenty of goals but also score plenty as well as this is a big part of my game.

"I'm ready for the challenge ahead and want to help the boys push on this season and get many more points on the board."

The club have also confirmed the signings of Theo Lukyanuzi on loan and goalkeeper Dylan Taylor.
