Stocksbridge Park Steels were the only side in the top half in action and they were unable to take advantage as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Bracken Moor by surprise strugglers Belper Town.
But in the end, Steels will be grateful for a point that lifts them into fourth place as they trailed to Leandro Browne`s 33rd minute opener right until stoppage time. Stockbridge earned themselves a corner with seconds remaining. The ball was delivered into a crowded penalty area, where goalkeeper David Reay remarkably got the final touch to rescue a point in the 94th minute!
The teams in the bottom two at start of play, Gresley FC and Romulus, met at The Moat and shared a 2-2 draw.
Not quite as dramatic a finale as at Stocksbridge, but Reece Morris gave the Moatmen a 29th minute lead that Jack Jeys cancelled out after 42 minutes and then scored to put Roms in front just past the hour-mark. Keenan King equalised 10 minutes from time.
Market Drayton Town are improving under new boss Carl Abbott and won 1-0 at new boys Peterborough Sports, thanks to an 11th minute Ryan Seal effort.
And Lincoln United pushed themselves to within a place and a point of twelfth-placed hosts Loughborough Dynamo after winning 2-0 with goals from Jack McGovern in the very first minute and Matt Cotton after 25 minutes.
