Sculpher remains Clitheroe boss

Club statement - Caretaker to remain in charge until end of season

The club's executive committee, comprising Anne Barker, Andrew Jackson, Colin Wilson and Chris Musson, considered 29 applications for the vacant manager's position.

After detailed discussion as a group and after taking soundings from a number of senior players, the executive committee decided that given the late stage in the season, the club's best interests would be served by bringing stability to the club by continuing to vest full control of team affairs in Lee Sculpher and David Burgess.

A more permanent arrangement will need to be agreed upon shortly after the season closes, to allow the new, permanent manager to put his stamp on the club's pre-season. All applicants have been written to, thanking them for applying for the position.

Lee and David are very excited about delivering perfomances from the team over the next seven games and I urge you to give them your full support in the coming weeks.
