Skipper's armband up for grabs

Ossett Town manager Grant Black is looking to appoint a new skipper for the next EVO-STIK Northern Premier League campaign after Danny Frost left Ingfield.

The goal-scoring midfielder kicked off his career as an apprentice at Barnsley before moving on to Winterton, Gainsborough Trinity and Pontefract Collieries.

Frost arrived at the 4G Voice & Data Stadium in 2011 and a spokesman for the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North's Ingfielders paid tribute to their outgoing captain in a statement released on Monday.

A spokesman said: "Grant Black will be looking to appoint a new captain over the pre-season period as Danny Frost has decided to move onto pastures new.

"The club would like to thank Danny for his gallant efforts at the end of last season, his five goals in 13 appearances being a major contribution to the club's positive end to the season."
