With former Stocksbridge striker Jamie Vardy expected to start for England at Wembley against Estonia on Friday night, Sky called the Millers on Friday for permission to send along their cameras to the First Division South clash on Non-League Day.
Vardy, pictured, scored a hat-trick against the Millers in the same fixture during the three seasons he spent at their rivals before moving to Halifax Town in 2010 and Fleetwood Town a year later after bagging 27 goals in his debut season for the Shaymen.
After helping the Cod Army win the Football Conference and promotion, the 28-year-old continued his meteoric rise in the game when he signed for Leicester City in May 2012 for a Non-League record transfer fee of £1 million.
Called up by England in May for the first time, Vardy made his debut in June in the goalless draw against the Republic at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, replacing captain Wayne Rooney for the final 15 minutes. In August, he was called up for the games against Switzerland and San Marino in UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying and started in the 6-0 rout of the latter in Serravalle in September.
Anthony Howells, one of Carlton's own success stories after moving on to Mansfield Town and also winning promotion to the Football League with the Stags, is also expected to feature on Saturday following his return to this summer.
Sky bosses have told the Millers to look out for the footage throughout the weekend on Sky Sports with producers planning to cover their NLD activities before and after kick-off at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
