The former Leicester City prospect joined the club in the summer of 2021 and made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring six times.
The forward has been capped at Under 18s level by the Republic of Ireland, but will now leave the Mariners to embark on a new challenge elsewhere.
“We have had several conversations with Conor over the summer over our plans for the squad and bringing players in," said South Shields boss Kevin Phillips.
“Conor is a great lad with lots of good attributes, but he had a limited amount of game-time under me last season, and I couldn’t guarantee him an increased amount of minutes next season.
“He wants to play football and I agreed that if he found a suitable club, we would be happy for him to talk with them and move on, which he has done.
“Conor’s attitude has been excellent throughout the time I’ve known him, and we of course thank him for his efforts with the club. We wish him all the very best for his future.”
