Stafford's Eric gets Lifetime Achievement Award

Stafford Rangers stalwart Eric Robins has been given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Staffordshire FA.

Eric had been nominated by the club as Volunteer of the Year for his fundraising efforts, and following that nomination, the county FA carried out some additional research on what he had done for Stafford.

As a result, they decided to present him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

It was presented by Staffordshire FA representative Gareth Thomas, who along with the club’s Business Continuity Group and director Carol Bailey, surprised Eric at the ground with a framed certificate from the FA in recognition of his fantastic efforts and achievements.

Eric said: “I can only do what I do with the support of the fans and all the people at the club.”

An official awards ceremony will be carried out by Staffordshire FA at the earliest opportunity.

A club spokesperson added: “Everyone who goes to Marston Road knows Eric and knows that his fundraising efforts are legendary and we are all so proud of not just what he has done but the way in which he goes about things.

“We all congratulate him for achieving such wonderful recognition from the regional governing body and know you will join us in applauding Eric’s loyalty and efforts on what was a special day for us all.”
