Stalybridge Celtic sign Jack Baxter on loan from Preston

Stalybridge Celtic have announced the signing of Jack Baxter on loan from Championship outfit Preston North End.

The 20-year-old central midfielder will join Celtic until January 2, 2021 and follows previous loanees Adam O’Reilly and Ethan Walker in making temporary switches to Bower Fold.

Baxter, who is from Chorley, signed professionally in 2017 but has been right the way through Preston’s academy, since joining their Under-9s.

He has previously spent time on loan at Clitheroe.
