Steve Chettle has strengthened his squad with three new additions, as the side sit third in the league table and have the chance to chase table toppers South Shields this weekend.
Keane has played under Chettle when he was manager of Nuneaton and spent a spell at the club last season.
“It feels very good (to be back),” he said.
“I was here last season under different management but I’ve played under Chetts [manager Steve Chettle] before so I know what he’s about.
“It’s a good style of football. A lot of teams in non-league don’t play the right way so it was a massive draw in coming to play good football and enjoy it.”
Also re-joining the club is youngster James, who had a loan spell at Greenwich Avenue last December.
Goalkeeper Tongue also signs after impressing in training in recent weeks.
All three players could make their debuts in Saturday’s trip to Radcliffe.
