Striker Courey Grantham joins Loughborough

Loughborough Dynamo have announced the signing of Courey Grantham.

Grantham has previously featured for the likes of Basford United, Ilkeston and Hednesford Town.

The striker, who scored eight goals in 25 appearances for Basford in the 2019/20 season, suffered a lisfranc injury in February 2020 that kept him out for most of that year before the pandemic.

Loughborough Dynamo manager Lee Attenborough said: “Courey is a player of quality who has performed well at a higher level. I felt like we needed a player who could bully defenders and hold the ball up to complement our other forwards in (Ryan) Nesbitt and (Dan) Collins who are slightly different. Courey is unique in that he’s very strong into body but also very mobile and quick - I’d have struggled to defend against him.

"This gives us both plan A and plan B. We are excited to have him here and he’s excited to get going so let’s hope he hits the ground running and has a successful season!”
