Striker finally completes dream move to big time!

Stourbridge striker Jamie Insall has finally sealed his long-awaited dream move from the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League to Scottish giants Hibernian.

After a long wait for international clearance held up his transfer north of the border in August, the prolific 23-year-old's switch from the Premier Division's Glassboys to the Scottish Championship was finally confirmed on Tuesday's transfer deadline day.

The former Kidderminster Harriers, Worcester Raiders, Littleton and Westfields hot-shot signed for the Glassboys this summer after hitting 30 goals at Step 7 last term to earn Bromyard Town promotion from the West Midlands Regional League's First Division.

Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett is delighted for Insall who had been on trial at Easter Road last month and scored for the Scottish club's development team in a friendly against Brentford.

Hackett said: "We spoke to Jamie before the summer. He wanted to get himself fit and we were happy to give him a chance. He did well and we offered him terms.

"Hibs came in for him out of the blue, really, and everything went from there. We can't fault the way they've gone about it.

"Obviously Jamie was not on a contract so they had no obligation to us, but they've been very understanding and professional, and they've made a small payment to us as a token of goodwill, which is very much appreciated."

He added: "It goes without saying that everybody at the club is delighted for Jamie, and we wish him well. It's a tremendous opportunity for him."

Insall told the official Hibs website that he was over the moon after climbing from Step 7 of the English pyramid system to the top levels of Scottish football within a year.

He said: "This is a great move for me - I'm absolutely delighted to have been given the chance to sign for Hibs.

"My aim now is to repay the faith that the manager has shown in me working hard, developing my game and ultimately helping the first team by scoring goals.

"It's a big step up, but I've waited a long time for my opportunity step up to full time football and I'm determined to make the most of it by doing everything I can to succeed."
