Success For Sheffield Kids Camps

Holiday Camps prove to be a roaring success

Sheffield FC have once again held their successful school holiday coaching camps at The BT Local Business Stadium, home of The World’s First Football Club.

Throughout the holidays over 75 children have attended the football, fitness and co-ordination packed days. Everybody who attended received a certificate and season ticket with medals for competition winners.

Club & Community Development Manager Lee Walshaw said, "We’ve had great sessions and had lots of fun throughout the Summer holidays and the kids have really enjoyed it. Some of the technical ability, skills and play has been fantastic and hopefully some of the players will be playing for Sheffield FC and maybe professionally in years to come. Children from 5 upwards have taken part and everyone has developed their game and improved whilst making new friends.”

As well as children becoming better players several older youths have helped out with the coaching as part of their on-going work experience with the Club from local schools and Colleges, all under the watchful eye of Lee Walshaw. He added; "It’s great that children of all ages are benefitting from our camps in all aspects of the game be it playing or coaching. It reiterates the belief of the Club that football is for everybody whatever their level or end goal."
