The beer's on the Players of the Month!

The latest cases of Bowland Beer are now being presented to September Player of the Month at each club in the EVO-STIK League.

All clubs have the chance to award a Player of the Month award, supported by sponsors Bowland Brewery, and it’s entirely down to them how to select the winner.

One of this month’s winners is returning Runcorn Linnets forward Freddie Potter (pictured with club vice chairman Jon Urquhart).

A key member of the Linnets squad for the past four years, now plying their trade in the EVO-STIK League West Division, Potter’s return has helped the Linnets make a solid start to life in the league, one that has earned them Club of the Month for August/September.

He assisted the winner against Colwyn Bay, having come off the bench, and then starred as a goalscoring man of the match against Colne.

A goal in vain in the defeat to Atherton Collieries was followed by an outstanding overhead kick and a late penalty in the win over Mossley.

Other clubs will be making their presentations this week and will be shared on social media.
