The Best Action from Last Night's EVO-STIK NPL Play-offs

By Will Hinch

A rundown of all the results and action from last night's play-off semi-finals.

The NPL is reaching the business end of the season, and Pitchero Play has been on hand to capture every second of the action. Here's a roundup of what went on in last night's quadruple-bill of play-off action, plus some of the best clips from each game.

Blyth Spartans 3-4 Workington
We'll start with an absolute thriller down at Croft Park, where Workington secured their spot in the Premier Division final.

After a phenomenal game that looked set to be extended into extra-time Robert Wilson snatched this late far-post winner to send Blyth crashing out.

Salford City 3-1 Ashton United
Salford City will the Workington's opponents after finding the legs to surge through in extra-time.

Among the goal was this outrageous goal from James Poole, courtesy of some calamitous goalkeeping from Ashton.

Coalville 5-0 Basford United
One of the more one sided games game at Coalville Town, where the home-side turned on the style to progress to the Southern division final.

The pick of the goals comes from Danny Jenno, who's thunderous drive put Coalville 3-0 up inside the opening 25-minutes.

Spennymoor Town 3-1 Burscough
Despite falling behind early on, Spennymoor Town eased through to the final of the Northern Division 3-1.

Amongst the highlights was this save from the Spennymoor keeper. With Burscough already a goal to the good, made this save not been made, it may have been Burscough who progressed.
