Three wise men on Friday's special

By David Watters

Friday's EVO-STIK NPL Show is a Buildbase FA Trophy special after host Ben Hughes sat down with three of the managers involved in the second qualifying round of Non-League's showpiece cup competition to run the rule over the weekend's action.

Along with Andrew Simpson from the Mid Cheshire Guardian, Ashton United's Jody Banim, Michael Clegg at Atherton Collieries and Mark Fell at Ramsbottom United all discuss the chances of the 25 EVO-STIK League clubs involved on Saturday with Hughes.

Hughes was also joined on the hour long podcast by Grantham Town chairman Roger Booth as the Gingerbreads prepare to head to Kidsgrove Athletic in the competition. With Corby Town transformed from relegation candidates into promotion contenders under caretaker manager Steve Kinniburgh, Jon Dunham from the Northamptonshire Telegraph also returns to the show along with regular guest James Heyes, the EVO-STIK League's social media manager.

The EVO-STIK NPL Show's hit weekly and monthly podcasts have been getting rave reviews from listeners since returning for the 2017-18 campaign after the summer break to build on their best ever listening figures last term and an end of season surge following a series of special live broadcasts from the promotion play-offs.

Still available on iTunes as well as Audioboom and produced by the award-winning team behind FCUM Radio, the podcasts are being sponsored for the fourth season running by the NPL's title sponsors EVO-STIK and since last season have also been available via their own button on the right hand side of the home page of the league's official website.
