Tickets selling out to see legend

Tickets to see former Manchester United and England captain Bryan Robson entertain fans of EVO-STIK League Spalding United next week are selling out fast.

After former Arsenal striker Ian Wright topped the bill last year, the legendary West Bromwich Albion, Manchester United and Middlesbrough midfielder, pictured, is the guest speaker at the 2017 Spalding United Sports Celebrity Dinner on Thursday night (September 21).

One of the highlights of the EVO-STIK League South club's social calendar, organisers say only a limited amount of tickets remain on sale to see the 60-year-old taking to the stage alongside compere Jerry Early at the Springfields Events and Conference Centre from 7.15pm.

The dinner also includes a sporting memorabilia auction and a Tulips spokesman said: "With the clock now firmly ticking, we urge all of those interested in being at the event to make your booking as soon as possible!

"As all who have attended this event in the past will doubtless testify, we have no doubt that this year's guest speaker Bryan Robson, a footballing giant in his heyday and manager of distinction once his playing career had ended, will prove to be a huge hit with all those in attendance."

The spokesman added: "It promises to be yet another fantastic night and bookings for tables of ten at a cost of £595.00 per table are still being taken but we would stress that only a few tables remain."

The longest serving captain in Manchester United's history and dubbed England's Captain Marvel, Robson scored 26 goals in 90 appearances for his country between 1980 and 1991. As a manager, he first took to the helm at Middlesbrough before going to guide Bradford City, Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion and the Thailand national team.
