Trafford in Nightingale coup

By James Gordon

Trafford have signed highly-rated midfielder Lewis Nightingale.

Nightingale, 27, was previously with Bamber Bridge though work commitments have ruled him out of the early part of the season.

His former clubs include Bradford Park Avenue, Harrogate Railway, Curzon Ashton, Mossley, Farsley and Darlington.

Trafford boss Tom Baker said: “This is a big signing for Trafford. Lewis is a very good footballer and someone I’ve admired for a while; he’s been a big part of promotion-winning sides and is someone that will fit right in with the group and how we want to play. ‪He brings real quality and a hunger to have more success.”
