Craig Elliot, who was appointed the new Gladiators boss following the departure of Paul Phillips, continues his rebuild with the departure of three players, alongside striker Jake Day, who left for Whitby Town yesterday.
"It’s going to be difficult as we work to change the squad and there’s the transition for the lads as they get used to the way I want to play," Elliot said.
"I’ve taken a look at what we’ve got. Jake Day’s gone to Whitby and Adam Blakeley, Leigh Whelan and Nico de Girolamo aren’t part of my plans and they go with my best wishes.
"I’m trying to get a blank canvas so we can move forward. Players will come in."
Blakeley, 19, joined Matlock Town in March from Staveley Miners Welfare.
Also exiting the club is 20-year-old Leigh Whelan who joined Matlock in August from Chesterfield, making three appearances.
Nico DeGirolamo ends his second spell at the Proctor Cars Stadium.
A fan favourite, he scored the winning goal in the Buildbase FA Trophy against Solihull Moors in the 2016/17 season.
The Italian defender made five appearances for the Gladiators this season.
