Trophy switch for third attempt

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Skelmersdale United have switched their FA Trophy clash with AFC Fylde on Wednesday night to the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford to beat the weather and finally get the first round replay played.

The Premier Division club announced the switch to the home of Salford City Rugby League Football Club, pictured, on Tuesday after the continuing downpours scuppered Monday night's second attempt by Tommy Lawson's side to complete the tie at the West Lancashire College Stadium.

After drawing 4-4 at Kellamergh Park when the clubs first met back on Tuesday 15 December, a waterlogged pitch ended Skem's hopes of reaching the second proper three days before Christmas.

Skem officials say admission prices at the home of the Salford Red Devils in Barton-upon-Irwell will reflect their regular charges for fans at Stormy Corner. For more details and directions visit the club's official website.
