Turner joins Frickley on permanent deal

Left back signs from Worksop Town

Frickley Athletic have announced the permanent signing of left back Ben Turner from Worksop Town.

This follows a highly successful month on loan and the former Mansfield Town and North Ferriby player signed tonight for the rest of the season.

Manager Peter Rinkcavage was thrilled with his capture of the highly rated full back. He said, “I am delighted we have managed to sign a player of Ben’s calibre. I haven’t seen a better young left back in the division this season.

"Worksop is his home town club so he is obviously disappointed that he wasn’t given the opportunity to prove himself there but these things happen when a change of manager occurs. He just wants to play football and he has taken a substantial cut in wages to sign here and that speaks volumes about his character. He has made an instant impact here with his performances on the pitch and the way he handles himself off it and we are delighted to have him.”
