Tweed, 20, joined the Gingerbreads from Nuneaton Borough at the start of Paul Rawden’s and Russ Cousins’ reign last season, going on to make 13 appearances.
Rawden said: "We know what we're getting with Tweedy, he's a grafter in the middle of the park. He'll get up and down all day long, providing us with energy and intensity . We're really pleased to have him back."
Tweed came through the ranks at QPR before joining Nuneaton.
He said: "Knowing Paul and Russ as I do, it wasn't a difficult decision to stay with them and the Club for this season. We've seen which other players have signed up and it's shaping up to be a really good squad.”
