The troubled Vics, battling to climb out of the bottom two in EVO-STIK NPL First Division South after coming from behind to draw 2-2 with Gresley at home on Wednesday night, are need of a saviour having slipped into administration before Christmas.
Despite the club needing to find a five figure sum, members of the Northwich Victoria Supporters Association and club officials say they are determined to fight on and save the game from losing a famous Non-League football club.
Acting Vics chairman Brian Turner went on the record to encourage people to come forward to help the club overcome a ‘major concern’ as the run-in to the end of the season got underway in March.
He's said: “If we don’t find the money we still need and find people to help push this club forward then the reality of the situation is that we have no future. The supporters have been putting money in but that’s only going to last so long. This is the biggest test we have faced no doubt about it.
“We aren’t giving up hope but we have to be realistic and say we need support from somewhere urgently. We need help and quickly as time is running out now. It’s all gone very wrong since we left the Victoria Stadium in 2012 but we believe in the club and with prompt support if someone is out there, we can one day prosper again.”
