Vinny Bailey departs Atherton Collieries

Atherton Collieries have confirmed that Vinny Bailey has left the club.

Bailey made 144 appearances for the club over the course of five-and-a-half years.

Initially making his mark as a key part of the club's 2016-17 North West Counties Premier Division winning team, Bailey went on to become a fundamental part of the Colls side over recent seasons, following up on his strong start with the 2018-19 Northern Premier League First Division title.

Arguably his most historic contribution came in the FA Trophy contest against Barrow, when Bailey scored to give the Collieries the most unlikely of leads in the tie which would ultimately lead to a replay against Ian Evatt’s side.
