Warrington gets scrubbed up by United Utilities workers

THREE teams of apprentices, graduates and managers from Warrington based United Utilities threw themselves into community challenges, including sprucing up Warrington Town's Cantilever Park, as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

One team of managers got themselves nice and mucky painting fences, collecting litter and cleaning showers at Warrington Town Football Club.

Community Development Officer for the club, James Standing, who is sponsored by United Utilities praised their efforts: "The group were really enthusiastic," he said.

"The work they carried out really has helped us out and I will look forward to welcoming more of their helpful staff here in the near future."

Meanwhile the three teams were also tasked with getting creative and they busied themselves drawing a team crest, coming up with a snappy name for their group and composing a song or limerick about the day.
