West Division preview: Race for play-off spot heats up

Current play-off spot holders Leek Town are looking to take fourth spot from Clitheroe as they travel to Kidsgrove Athletic who sit in 14th place.

Although both teams are level on 37 points each - Clitheroe have a game in hand over Leek Town, and will be looking to make it four unbeaten games on the bounce against Colne at home.

Sitting just below a play-off spot with a one point gap, Runcorn Linnets will be looking to build upon a resilient 5-3 victory against Widnes in their last outing.

Calum McIntyre’s side will take on 18th placed Prescot Cables.

Hot on the heels of The Linnets and just two points behind, Trafford will face-off against Ramsbottom United at home.

Elsewhere at the top of the table, Marine will be looking to extend their position in first to 10 points at home to Merseyside rivals Bootle, with a sell-out crowd confirmed.

Second placed Workington will be aiming to press their advantage following their 5-0 victory against Kidsgrove Athletic last weekend.

The Reds travel to Kendal Town who currently sit in 19th place on seven points.

Meanwhile, bottom placed Market Drayton Town will be looking to win their second game of the season at home to Newcastle Town.

Following a 3-0 defeat to Bootle last weekend, Mossley will be looking to leap over them in the league to eighth with a win against Glossop North End at home.

Warrington Ryland's home clash with 1874 Northwich has been postponed due to Covid, as well as City of Liverpool's fixture with Widnes.
