Wigan 'keeper joins Yellows

Young Wigan goalkeeper Bobby Jones has joined the Yellows ahead of Saturday’s game against Scarborough Athletic.

Jones, 18, is a Republic of Ireland Under 19 international and was previously with Middlesborough, as well as having a recent loan spell at Farsley.

He deputises for regular number one Tony McMillan, who suffered a calf injury in the 3-3 draw against Grantham Town on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, winger Jack Banister has left Cantilever Park to join BetVictor Northern Premier N/West Division side Widnes.

Banister made 15 appearances after joining on dual-registration terms from Curzon Ashton, his last coming as a substitute against Grantham.
