Witton to run beer festival

To feature "Albion 125" ale

Witton Albion FC will be running their second annual beer festival from Thursday 17th May to Saturday 19th May.

The festival will showcase 12 regional ales, including a special Albion 125 to celebrate Witton’s 125th year, along with a small selection of locally brewed ciders.

Last year’s event was a great success and we are looking to build on that this year. On the Friday night there will be an acoustic set from a local female musician, and on Saturday, Manchester band Sam Smith & Company take to the stage. Not only that, but to get your “Saturday 3pm” fix, we will be showing the 1992 FA Trophy final on the big screen on Saturday afternoon, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Witton’s most famous day.

The festival is to be held at the Help for Heroes Stadium from 7pm on Thursday and Friday, and from noon till late on Saturday. Entry is £5 and we’d love to welcome fans of all teams down on any of the days. For further information please see www.wittonalbion.com
