Woodhouse made to wait for Trinity start

New Gainsborough Trinity manager Curtis Woodhouse will be hoping to take charge of his first match on Tuesday evening.

Their FA Trophy clash with Dunston fell victim to the weather at the weekend, and has been re-arranged for tomorrow evening.

It delayed Woodhouse’s first game in charge, following his arrival from Tadcaster Albion last week, replacing Liam King as manager.

He did use the postponement to get his players together for an extra training session, meaning he will have held three sessions with his squad since taking over.

Woodhouse tweeted: "Went up another notch today in training, excellent work for the lads. Three sessions in now and every session has got better and better. Today’s game getting called off might have been a blessing in disguise. Preparation preparation preparation."

It was one of 12 FA Trophy games cancelled due to the weather on Saturday, with all the games re-scheduled for this midweek.
