Worksop captain departs

Worksop Town have named Steven Woolley as their new club captain, following the shock departure of predecessor Daniel Patterson.
According to manager Craig Denton, Patterson refused to come on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Melton Town.
A statement said: “This insubordination is a breach of the ethos set by the club, and Denton feels that unfortunately due to the nature of the breach, releasing Patterson is the only appropriate course of action.”
Craig Mitchell will be vice-captain.
