Wythenshawe look to add experience with Brown signing

NPL West Division newcomers Wythenshawe have confirmed the signing of experienced full-back Ally Brown.

The 36-year-old arrives from Trafford, where he made 187 appearances across three spells at Shawe View.

Brown also featured a number of times in the Northern Premier League with Runcorn Linnets, Radcliffe and Warrington Town, as well as having National League experience from his time with Chorley.

Ammies manager Shane Goldrick said: “I’m happy to welcome Ally to the club. His experience at this level will be key for us this season.”

On his arrival at Hollyhedge Park, Brown said: “I am delighted to sign for a club that has made amazing progress over the last few seasons.

“I’ve come to a winning mentality and a group in which I want to keep moving forward.”
