About the Northern Premier League
Since its formation in 1968, the league has always striven to maintain a reputation for excellence amongst its member clubs and in the administration of the competition.
The Northern Premier League encompasses 88 clubs across four divisions covering an area stretching from Northumberland to Worcestershire.
This means that some 18.3 million people are touched in some way by the name of the Northern Premier League, either in print, on the radio, TV, internet or in person on match days.
This season around 3,000 players from Egypt, Hungary, Israel, Norway, Slovakia & Thailand, as well as the UK, will feature in NPL matches. A further 4,000 will play for our clubs’ junior and ladies’ teams.
