Board

In 2024, the NPL implemented the findings of a governance review. A number of changes to the League’s governance structure are being implemented over a three-year period.

The work of the NPL is overseen by a board of directors made up of eight club representatives and independent members, each of whom can serve up to three, three-year terms of office.

As of October 2025, the composition of the NPL board is as follows.

How to join the Board

As part of the governance review, the NPL board will be reduced in size from 11 to 9 members by June 2027. The board will then comprise 5 club aligned and 4 independent directors.

Sub-committees

A number of sub-committees report into the board. These are made up of a combination of board directors, club representatives and independent members.
