Anstey Nomads sign ex-England international forward

Anstey Nomads have announced the signing of former Leicester City and England international forward David Nugent on a player-coach basis.
The 40-year-old goes straight into contention to feature in the club's upcoming league fixture against Loughborough Students on Saturday.
He enjoying a glittering career across the Premier League and Football League, making more than 600 appearances.
Nugent spent a large part of his career with Leicester, scoring 54 goals in 159 appearances for the Foxes.
Having left the Liverpool youth academy at the age of 15, he went on to represent a number of clubs including Bury, Preston North End, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Derby County.
He also spent time on loan at Burnley and Tranmere Rovers.
On the international stage, Nugent scored against Andorra in a UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying match, having enjoyed an 11-minute cameo as a substitute.
To date, his national team career is the shortest of any player who has scored for the Three Lions.
Nugent joins an Anstey Nomads side that are currently 11th in the NPL Midlands Division.
