Ashington sign ex-Morpeth and Hebburn midfielder
Ashington have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Liam Noble.
The experienced former Morpeth Town and Hebburn Town man started the season at Newcastle Blue Star in the Northern League.
After making over 100 appearances in Morpeth colours, Noble joined Hebburn in the summer of 2024 after an initial loan spell towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Whilst at the Hornets, he was part of the side that went on to clinch the NPL East Division title, securing promotion to Step 3.
However, the 34-year-old left the club in mid-August after just three games of the season, despite starting their opening two games.
Earlier in his career, the former Carlisle United, Notts County and Forest Green man featured over 200 times across the Football League.
He joins an Ashington side that find themselves sat at the foot of the NPL East Division table after failing to win any of their opening seven league games.
Noble could go into contention to feature this Saturday against Ossett United, who are just one point above the relegation zone.
