Belper Town management team extend stay
Belper Town have confirmed that manager Lee Attenborough and assistant manager Matthew Wain have signed a two-year contract extension.
The pair arrived at the Raygar Stadium towards the end of the 2022/23 season, when the Nailers succumbed to relegation into the NPL East Division.
They steered the club to a sixth-place finish in their first full season, missing out on the play-offs by five points.
After conducting a rebuild for the 2024/25 campaign, Belper Town finished in 4th with 23 wins and 10 draws, earning them a play-off semi-final tie against Stocksbridge Park Steels, where they suffered a 2-1 defeat in extra time against the Steels, who went on to secure promotion to Step 3.
Attenborough and Wain will remain with the Derbyshire outfit until the end of the 2026/27 season.
