Bishop Auckland appoint new manager

Bishop Auckland have announced the appointment of Andy Dixon as the club's new manager on a permanent basis.
The former Hartlepool academy coach took temporary charge following the resignation of Leon Carling and his assist Dave Onions earlier this month.
News of their departure came amid a difficult start to the season which had seen the Two Blues pick up just seven points from their opening nine league games.
During Dixon's three league games in charge, the club have picked up seven points from a possible nine, scoring three or more goals in each of those matches.
They have also risen to 15th in the NPL East Division table, having sat at the foot of the table when Dixon first took charge.
“I’m delighted to accept the role of permanent manager of Bishop Auckland Football Club," he said.
"The club has had deep links with my family for many years, and I know the huge part it plays in the local community.
"We look forward to building on the success we’ve had over the first few games. We’re looking forward to working with this group of players on the training pitch and hope we can be very successful together.”
A statement released on behalf of the Bishop Auckland board of directors said: “Andy’s stint as interim manager has been a successful one.
"His knowledge and experience has given the squad a renewed sense of purpose.
"We are delighted with the appointment and look forward to seeing Andy continue the good work.”
Dixon's first game in permanent charge will come away at Emley on Saturday.
