Bradford (Park Avenue) boss commits immediate future to club
Bradford (Park Avenue) manager Craig Elliott has signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
Elliott first took charge of the club in August 2024, guiding them to a 10th-place finish in his first campaign at the helm.
This season the club have kicked on and secured a top-five finish in the NPL East Division, going on to defeat Matlock Town 2-1 away from home on Tuesday night to reach the play-off final.
Elliott's new deal, which was announced on the eve of their play-off semi-final, demonstrates "the board's ambition to continue growth and progress on the pitch", say the club.
Having forged a reputation as one of non-league's most successful managers, the Park Avenue boss finds himself just one game away from guiding the club back to Step 3.
On Saturday they travel to Emley, who defeated Dunston 1-0 in Tuesday's other NPL East Division semi-final.
“As a manager, you want to enjoy where you are and where you’re working," Elliott said.
"First and foremost, there are some really good people behind the scenes… some great volunteers and staff around the place, so that was a big part of the decision to stay.
"People that know me closely know that I live and breathe this job. What drives me, 100%, is winning games of football.
"The day I lose that drive, that buzz of winning, and that hunger to prove people wrong, is the day I’ll finish managing. But at the minute, I’ve still got that hunger.”
