Bury dealt blow as attacking midfielder recalled

Bury have announced that on-loan attacking midfielder Leo Graham has been recalled by parent club Wigan Athletic.

Graham made the move to Gigg Lane on an initial short-term loan back in November.

He went on to become an integral part of their unbeaten run over the weeks and months that followed, scoring five times in 17 appearances and adding a further four assists.

However, Graham will not be involved with the Shakers for the run-in after Wigan activated a recall clause in his contract.

Bury are currently four points clear at the top of the NPL West Division but have played two games more than second-placed Avro and a game more than Lower Breck in third.

A club statement confirming Graham's departure read: "Everyone at Bury FC would like to thank Leo for his efforts and commitment while representing the Shakers.

"He has been a great professional during his time at the club, and we’re grateful for the contribution he has made in a Bury shirt."
