Cashmere Rowe becomes Robins recruit

Ilkeston Town have confirmed the signing of Hucknall Town full-back Cashmere Rowe.

The youngster arrives at the club having worked with current Robins boss Tris Whitman, where he scooped the Young Player of the Season award for his strong performances.

Prior to that spell in Nottinghamshire, the full-back made six appearances for Basford United, having previously come through their academy.

“I’m looking forward to the season ahead, working hard for the team, and playing hard in front of the supporters,” Rowe said.

Hewill be joined at the Microlise New Manor Ground by former teammate Lewis Belgrave, as well as the likes of striker Harry Wakefield and imposing defender Elwalid Elhaghany.

In recent days, the club have also announced the arrival of striker Jevin Seaton and Pharrell Johnson, who was most recently at Swindon Town.

On securing Rowe’s services, Whitman said: “Cashmere joins us after impressing during our time at Hucknall, where his standout performances made him popular with the fans and attracted interest from clubs at higher levels.

“He’s a highly energetic full-back who suits our style perfectly.”
