Corby Town part ways with management team
Corby Town have confirmed the departure of manager Leon Mettam and assistant Danny Brooks.
The duo depart after an agreement was reached to release them from their contracts.
Their final game in charge was the 2-0 defeat at Grantham Town in the NPL East Division on Tuesday night, which leaves Corby in the relegation places.
They have won one of their eight league games so far.
A club statement said: “The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks and appreciation to Leon and Danny for the considerable effort, commitment and professionalism they have shown during their time with Corby Town, particularly throughout a challenging period prior to the recent change in ownership.
“We wish Leon and Danny every success for the future.”
First team coach Paul Holden will take interim charge of the team while the club begins the process of appointing a new manager.
