Craig Rouse crowned August Manager of the Month
Cleethorpes Town boss Craig Rouse has been crowned Northern Premier League Manager of the Month for August.
Rouse has been recognised for his role in guiding Cleethorpes to the NPL Premier Division summit by the end of the opening month of the season.
The Owls have picked up 19 points from a possible 24 on offer so far.
Free-scoring Cleethorpes have already netted 23 goals in eight games - a tally bettered only by Avro (26), and with just five goals conceded, they boast the second-best defence in the division thus far.
Among their notable results in August were a 5-0 victory at Quorn in the first midweek round of fixtures, a 6-0 thrashing of Whitby Town, and a 3-0 win at Gainsborough to end the opening month.
Off the back of an impressive ninth-placed finish in their first-ever season at Step 3 last term, Rouse's Cleethorpes haven't taken long to pick up where they left off.
Completing the four-man shortlist for August's award were Warrington Town manager Paul Carden, Redcar Athletic's Carl Jarrett and Avro boss Grant Shenton.
