Dixon makes Bridlington Town return

Bridlington Town have announced the signing of Matty Dixon from North Ferriby.

The 30-year-old midfielder will return to the Mounting Systems Stadium for his third spell after departing for NPL East Division rivals North Ferriby in February 2024.

The former Hull City Academy graduate made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Villagers.

On the re-signing of Dixon, Bridlington Town manager Mike Thompson said: "I’m so happy to welcome Matty back to the club. I managed to bring Matty back to the club in 2022 and during that time he was superb for me.

"We had a number of approaches for Matty that season due to his stand-out performances but it was great to see he stayed loyal to what we were looking to achieve.

"Matty has since moved onto North Ferriby but he was right at the top of my list in relation to players I trust, players I know I can hang my hat on and a player that is versatile in what he can bring this team moving into a pivotal stage of the season.

“Another fan favourite that I am so happy to bring into this group, welcome back Matty.”

Dixon will go straight into the squad ahead of Bridlington Town's next fixture at home to Garforth Town in the Northern Premier League.
