Drury makes Corby Town return
Graham Drury has returned as manager of Corby Town, who he previously led to the club’s highest ever league position.
Drury recently departed from Peterborough Sports and returns to the Steelemen, who he led to sixth place in Conference North in 2009/10, a season after winning the Southern League Premier Division.
He said: “I am delighted to be home back with the Steelmen. I've had so many good times in football but I must say the best times are with this club, so to be back in the black and white colours means so
much to me.
“Let's bring the good times back to steel park its not going to be easy but the hard work has already started. I was ready to book a holiday when the phone rung and after a conversation with Raj/Chris the
flight was cancelled I just knew it was time to return.
“Raj and the owners have the ambition that matches mine and to be working with the chairman Chris was a big factor also. I know what you fans can do for this club, this town, and these players so bring the noise on Wednesday and let's get this place rocking. Up the steelmen.”
Drury previously managed at Boston United and has twice earned promotion from Step 4 to Step 3 with Stamford, including as NPL Midlands Division champions 2022/23.
Corby have set the goal of securing three promotions in five years.
Drury will be assisted by Paul Holden, who he has previously worked with at Corby, Stamford and Boston.
