FC United begin summer recruitment
FC United of Manchester have made talented midfielder Matt Fearnley their first signing of the summer.
Fearnley left Hyde United at the end of the season, having recently surpassed 150 appearances in Tigers colours.
During his time at Hyde, the midfielder scored 29 goals and made more appearances for the club than any other player last season.
Boasting strong experience at Northern Premier League level, FC United say Fearnley will add "energy, composure and versatility" to their squad.
“I'm delighted to begin this new chapter of my career at such a massive club with an incredible fan base," he said following the move.
"From my previous visits, I’ve always admired the professionalism around the club and the strong sense of community - it is something that is really important to me.
"I can’t wait to put the shirt on, give everything for the badge and get started.
"I'm looking forward to the season ahead, and hopefully helping the team to a successful year."
