Five arrivals for Stocksbridge Park Steels
Stocksbridge Park Steels have bolstered their ranks with five new signings - in the form of Reece Clegg, Will Sutton, Harry Spooner, Oliver Metcalfe and Jack Dolman.
Clegg comes to Stocksbridge with a huge reputation at non-league level, having been a prolific goalscorer at his previous club Clay Cross Town - including 42 goals in 46 games during the 2024/25 season.
The forward has also featured for Retford and Staveley Miners Welfare.
Another addition in the forward line is highly-rated forward Spooner, who joins the club following a stint at Sheffield.
Previously of Goole, Worsbrough Bridge and Frickley Athletic, Spooner featured 48 times for his former club and scored three goals as they reached the Northern Counties Eastern League (NCEL) Premier Division play-offs last season.
Left-back Sutton comes from Rossington Main at Step 5 level, following a previous spell with Bridlington Town at Step 4.
Whilst at Rossington, he reached the NCEL Cup final last season.
Meanwhile, midfielder Metcalfe makes the switch to Bracken Moor from Tadcaster Albion.
The 23-year-old was part of the Brewers’ run to the (NCEL) Premier Division final in 2025/26, making 18 appearances as he recovered from a serious injury setback.
Featuring as a trialist against Golcar United and Penistone Church so far during pre-season, he has now agreed permanent terms with Steels ahead of their return to the NPL East Division.
As for Dolman, who also joins from Rossington Main, he will be incredibly familiar to Steels’ fans following two previous spells with the club.
Across the 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns, he made 43 appearances and scored four goals for the club.
