Goalkeeper Eastham makes Tigers return
Hyde United have announced the return of goalkeeper Jordan Eastham, who joins the club from Greater Manchester rivals Ashton United.
The 24-year-old heads to the Project Solar Stadium after spending two years with the Robins.
Making his way as a Blackburn Rovers academy graduate, Eastham enjoyed his first spell with the Tigers during the 2023/24 season, making 20 appearances and keeping eight clean sheets.
He also helped the club to silverware in the shape of the Cheshire Senior Cup.
“I’m glad to be back. I spoke to Cleggy [manager Michael Clegg] at the start of the off-season, about his plans and everything going on at the moment.
“It’s something I wanted to be part of, and I’m looking forward to the season.”
Speaking on his return, Tigers boss Clegg was brimming with praise for his new man between the posts.
“A permanent keeper was a priority to bring stability to this team," he said.
“We know Jordan, and we know exactly how good he is. With his previous experience here and his existing chemistry with the players, he’ll slot straight in and get right back to work.”
