Grimsby Borough sign ex-Brentford man
Grimsby Borough have completed the signing of former Brentford player Josh Clarke.
The 32-year-old, who can play as a right-back or winger, joins Tom Claisse’s side following a long hiatus from the game.
He made 84 appearances for Brentford across all competitions between 2013-20, having progressed through the Bees’ academy system.
Also featuring for the likes of Carshalton Athletic, Maidenhead United, Barnet and Burton Albion, his most recent spell was with National League South side Dartford during the 2021/22 campaign.
Following 10 appearances for the club, he departed in an attempt to resolve injury issues.
After securing Clarke’s signature, manager Tom Claisse was full of excitement, saying: “Josh is the type of player we wanted to bring to this club.
“He’s got fantastic experience, a great attitude, and still has so much to offer. His quality will be a real asset to the group, and we’re looking forward to working with him this season.”
