Guiseley bolster backline with Tinker signing
Guiseley have announced the signing of defender Jack Tinker from Stocksbridge Park Steels.
The 26-year-old full-back began his career at Brighouse Town before moving to Stocksbridge Park Steels in 2021.
During his time at the Steels, he worked under current Guiseley boss Ian Richards, as they secured promotion to Step 3 at the end of the 2024/25 season for the first time in 11 years.
Following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign, Tinker departed Bracken Moor after five seasons and nearly 200 appearances to join Liversedge, but left the club in July after being approached by a Step 3 club.
On his move to Guiseley, Tinker said: “It was a difficult decision to leave a club I’ve been at for so long. I’ve made many memories and some great friends, so it wasn’t easy. I’ve learnt a lot at Stocksbridge playing under Ian.”
Tinker's announcement arrives on the eve of the upcoming 2026/27 season, and he will go into contention to make his debut for Guisley in their opening-day home fixture against Warrington Town on Saturday 8 August.
