Guiseley land ex-Worksop forward Rollins

Guiseley have completed the signing of forward Jay Rollins following his departure from Worksop Town.

The move brings to an end Rollins’ four-season spell in Nottinghamshire, after he rejected the offer of a new deal at the club earlier in the summer.

The 32-year-old made five appearances in the National League North last season, scoring once in a 3-2 defeat to Hereford back in March.

He was also a key part of their promotion-winning side of 2022/23, during a campaign which saw the Tigers rack up 99 points and suffer just one leave defeat as they were crowned champions of the NPL East Division.

The club have since gone on to progress to Step 2,  winning the Premier Division play-offs during the 2024/25 season.

Commenting on Rollins’ arrival at Nethermoor, manager Ian Richards said: “Jay is an exceptional player with proven success at our level and in the National Leagues.

“Following his injury setback, he has worked hard to return to full fitness and looked sharp during the second half of last season.

“He has pace, quality and excellent delivery from wide areas, and will excite our supporters this season.”
